Royal Danish Horticultural Society's Garden
by Kirstine Autzen

Kirstine Autzen is a Danish artist and photographer. She has an MA in Visual Culture from the University of Copenhagen.

“The Royal Danish Horticultural Garden Society’s plot in Frederiksberg is a semi-secret gem in Copenhagen, Denmark. The garden is right next to Frederiksberg Garden, but hides somewhat discreetly behind the high-end restaurant Mielcke & Hurtigkarl. Although the Frederiksberg Garden is great for promenading, I find this garden much more visually inspiring. Originally built by landscape Architect H.A. Flindt in 1884, the garden was designed to change over time and to inspire everyone with green fingers – as indeed it does today.”
