“I had a day in Hong Kong en route from Paris to New Zealand. After stocking up on film from Stanley Road, I loaded my camera and wandered around the island. It was very hot and humid and I found myself seeking out shade in the botanical gardens. I was captivated by the mix of exotic tropical plants and the architecture. Built in the Victorian era the gardens are located on the northern slopes of Victoria Peak on Hong Kong Island. A little oasis in the midst of Hong Kong's dense highrise landscape.”
