“I have photographed urban and community gardens in London, Helsinki and Madrid for four years. These gardens have a positive impact on the neighbourhood. They bring green areas to the city and offer a living room-like space where everyone is welcome. This engages a diverse range of people and brings communities together that would otherwise never be able to meet. Neighbours can enjoy the place as it is or grow a few vegetables, attend a gardening course or a party. The photos have been published as a book Horticultured Cities last year.“
